The Depths of the VTWBB Conundrum

For a long time I thought that CDW was making some improvement and I was concerned about giving him a chance. The year started out great, but even then, many on this board took an attitude of "He'll fail in the long run". Discontent over the team clearly boiled over into outright disdain (even hate) for the man. Remember when Will said he had seen this before and would cover the team when they proved themselves. I think the record was 12-1 at that time. How could anyone expect a team to grow in that environment?

That being said, I went to the Virginia APA site and researched the profitability (BIG LAUGH HERE) of the program over the last 15 years. DISASTER AND GETTING WORSE BY THE DAY.

Year Revenue Expenses Net
2015 $1,203,527 $3,501,958 -$2,298,431
2014 $1,330,541 $3,408,525 -$2,077,984
2013 $1,121,750 $3,187,515 -$2,065,765
2012 $1,204,437 $3,271,870 -$2,067,433
2011 $1,077,069 $2,940,970 -$1,863,901
2010 $1,397,977 $2,835,954 -$1,437,977
2009 $1,023,931 $2,293,829 -$1,269,898
2008 $1,524,159 $2,786,459 -$1,262,300
2007 $1,129,982 $2,258,861 -$1,128,979
2006 $896,627 $1,969,507 -$1,072,880
2005 $899,280 $1,914,841 -$1,015,561
2004 $1,632,227 $1,994,964 -$362,737
2003 $684,739 $1,925,301 -$1,240,562
2002 $928,963 $1,490,249 -$561,286
2001 $1,280,169 $2,057,185 -$777,016
2000 $634,371 $1,269,909 -$635,538

Long story short, the VTWBB program needs a rebirth. Renewed energy from administration, a new perspective and revitalization from a new coaching regime, and most importantly some buy in from a fan base (that is now totally toxic).

End of Sunday sermon.
