My upbringing was similar to yours.....love of game from


playing and attending summer rec leagues where people I knew playing, attending college games throughout the Spring, and playing in my own yard with anyone who would. It was dust bowl. Loved MLB on radio " Gillette Game of the Day" and Brooklyn Dodger freak with stats of the 50s. I was regular batboy for VT when they came to town to play VMI and W&L baseball. Got the gene from my Dad.

I had good luck coaching with my two daughters playing softball and basketball but I tried that with my grandsons, starting when they were Tee ball age and now that they are 16yo & 10yo, they not interested or live close enough to town to be able to attend practice. Thanks for asking
