Gus and Nick don't look anywhere near their best. Both wore huge knee braces and Nick had a big ice pack on his knee after finals.

Joey seemed to just cruise through his matches. He's a beast, but the ACC isn't strong at 125 either. Still, he'll be tough to beat in NCAAs.

Hats off to McFadden. He wrestled hard and beat Pitt twice after losing in the dual. And Zavatsky was a hammer. I don't think there's anyone at 184 he can't beat.

Epp and Haught could have won their matches but couldn't quite get it done. Both should AA in a couple weeks.

Ty Walz seems like a great guy in addition to being a great wrestler. I bet his teammates and coaches love him.

Some other random thoughts -
There were probably as many VT fans there as all other school combined. Comment I heard: "that's why they always get better bowl games than us."
It was cool seeing several former wrestlers. Coleman Scott now coaches UNC (Ok State national champ and Olympic bronze medalist), Derek St John (4x AA and a national champ at Iowa), Mike Zadick (3x AA, Olympian and one heck of a beard grower), Neil Erisman (Ok State wrestler and current UNC assistant despite having a son named Duke) and Devin Carter.
John Paul Jones is awesome. I didn't tell my sons they had eaten Hoo Dogs until they were done eating.
Just down the street, a burgers and wine bar. Only in Charlottesville.
