Turning the LHN into a B12N is easier said than done.


First, you would be taking away ESPN's "Golden Lasso" they have placed around Bevo with the LHN. The LHN assures ESPN that Bevo will stay an ESPN produced product.

Second, you would have to insure that Bevo would still get 15+M per year. With the small footprint and overlapping fan bases that would require an unequal revenue sharing.

Third, Fox owns some of the Tier 3 Big 12 content. That would have to be bought out before starting the new network.

Fourth, to make any new conference network work, you need to have access to some tier 2 level games as an enticement for the cable / satellite companies.

So good luck with that. It would seem that an ACCN would be a lot easier than a new B12N.
