Many B1Gs are behemoths built upon many generations

of sports/conference enthused alumni and fans. It's the culture. SEC has its football/conference culture. The ACC culture is Tobacco Road basketball and even that might be going away with new diverse set of schools. It is what it is. We'll just have to make the best of it. There has always been a money gap. There are some advantages to not competing in one of the top 2 conferences.
