Whit's team continues to impress and do things outside the box. This announcement was released earlier today:

"The Virginia Tech Department of Athletics announced the date of its inaugural Celebration of Women’s Sports Luncheon presented by Coca-Cola and online auction fundraisers to benefit the women’s athletics programs. This year’s luncheon theme of “She Is” celebrates all that women are and can be as a result of college athletics."

“Our student-athletes here at Virginia Tech are an outstanding group,” Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said. “The successes of our women’s athletic teams are one of our biggest points of pride and each of these teams really exemplifies our core values of Service, Honor, Excellence, Integrity and Strong together. This luncheon is an opportunity to introduce some of our university’s best ambassadors to the community.”

VTChip again: I've been fortunate to meet some of our student athletes and I always come away impressed and proud of the young people who represent Virginia Tech.

This sounds like a well thought out event/fundraiser and there are some really cool auction items on this list.
