Good article on the indoor practice facility
The article notes that Tech chose not to have the facility heated because the players will have to play in the cold, so they need to be accustomed to the temperatures.
That's not to say the facility doesn't have temperature control in its design. The high ceiling will result in the heat rising and the field temps being lower.
In cold weather, the sun will warm the facility and protection from the wind and thunderstorms will make it more practical for training.
The coolest feature IMO, is the camera system on the ceiling that allows the film of practice from an overhead view.
