Small glitch...it assumes that


ESPN is willing to give Comcast a shot at competing with its college sports broadcasts in the ACCs footprint.

ESPN owes ACC either a network or enhanced payments for its current rights beginning in 2017. The benchmarks for rights will be its most recent TV deals. It would be extremely difficult for ESPN to create or deliberately maintain a non market-based gap without opening the door for the ACC to shop its rights.
