Here is something to think about. How are they


going to align the divisions within the new Big 12. Are they going to keep the Texahoma 6 together in one division. That might be the only division alignment that could get 7 approving votes (Texahoma 6 + WVU). Any other alignment would probably not get enough votes. Would the former ACC members want to be lumped into a division with ISU, KSU, KU? Does that really create exciting marketable games for the those going to the Big 12?

Realize that this argument was going on before neb and colo left the Big 12. The north division could not adequately recruit the only recruiting hotbed of Texas. The next biggest recruiting hotbed in the former Big 12 was Missouri and it only produced at most 10 D1 players a year. Not enough to fill up the rosters of MU, NU, ISU, CU, KU and KSU. Any new recruiting territory would be shared with SEC and B!G; would a recruit favor the new Big 12 over SEC and B1G?
