3.16 teams is a much better number than 14. This has been discussed here on numerous occasions. The pod structure is much better than what we have now in the ACC.

4.The size of TV markets are not nearly as important as the ACC once "thought" they were. The ACC would be prime time players in Boston, Atlanta and Miami if that were the case. That's an outdated way of thinking. What matters most is compelling matchups, primarily football matchups.

5.Iowa st is problematic, but VT and numerous other ACC schools would love to have WVU on their schedule. From that list of schools you posted, I would only rather play ND and UVA each season. There's only about 3 ACC schools total that are better matchups than WVU.

6.For an extra 10 or 20 million dollars, plenty of schools would love rubbing elbows with Texas and Oklahoma.

7.The divisions I posted are much more appealing than the current ACC Coastal or ACC Atlantic. Prove me wrong.

8.What? The TV folks CHOSE to pay the remaining teams what 12 used to make. They weren't forced to. The Big12 TV contract is worth more. AND those schools have the luxory of selling tier 3 content on their own, unlike ACC schools. Many have capitalized on that. Big12 football is the much better product right now, with 10 schools. And football is said to be 80percent of the consideration in TV deals. And their basketball is actually pretty good as well.
