Because the Big 12 would still own OU's media


rights the game would be shown in a time slot designated for the Big 12. That game would usurp the position of true Big 12 games. It would not go to a B1G media partner unless it fell to tier 3. Then it could be shown on the BTN. Both ESPN and FOX would have to refuse it as part of the Big 12's tier 1 and tier 2 for it to be shown as a B1G game. If ESPN or Fox picked it as a Big 12 tier 1 or tier 2 game it would have to be presented as a Big 12 game.
