Hokie Ice Hockey schedule for the weekend


The Hokies club ice hockey team has made the ACHA postseason tournament and starts play this Friday night at the Prince William Ice Center in Dale City.

The Hokies are seeded #10 and will open play versus #11 George Washington at 9:30pm Friday night.

From that point, it's a "win and advance" situation with the teams being reseed after each round per the bracket below:


FRIDAY:
Play-in Game 1: 7:00pm - #9 Louisville vs. #12 Princeton
Play In Game 2: 9:30pm - #10 Virginia Tech vs. #11 George Washington


Saturday, February 27
1:20 pm - #3 Miami (OH) vs. Lowest Seeded Play In Winner
1:50 pm - #4 Penn State vs. Highest Seeded Play In Winner
8:30 pm - #5 Toledo vs. #8 Delaware
8:40 pm - #6 Ohio vs. #7 Rowan


Sunday, February 28
(Teams Re-Seed After Saturday's Games)

2:50 pm - highest seed versus lowest seed
3:50 pm - 2nd highest seed versus 3rd highest seed

Both of Sunday's winners advance to the National tournament.
