Since basically it is a dead heat based on probable seeding, I have taken a quick peek at opportunities for VT and NCS at each weight class based on Jerseys point summary previously posted. I didn't considered major upsets in my analysis (e.g., Dance loses to Hermann in semifinals) which are always possible. Here goes (doesn't address bonus points):

125:
Possible downward point total for NCS if Bentley (Pitt) upsets Fausz in semifinals. Short of a major upset, no downward for VT.

133:
Only upward point potential would be for NCS if Morris upset Gus in 3rd place match. They won't beat DiCamillo (UVa) or Forys (Pitt).

141:
Lots of potential for upward/downward movement here. Downward potential for VT if Chishko loses to Ward (UNC) in semifinal but VT has upward potential and NCS has downward potential with a Chishko win in the final.

149:
Donahue won't beat Henderson (UNC) here. Upward is for NCS with a Donahue win over Sal for 3rd. I guess one might say VT has upward potential with Sal win over Finsilver (but don't see it).

157:
Downward potential for VT if Brascetta is upset by Atkinson (UVa) but upward potential if Nick beats Gantt in final.

165:
Lots of upward potential for McFadden. Don't see Roskopf losing this weight class so no real point change for NCS here.

174:
Upward potential for VT if Epperly beats Ramos (UNC). Don't see much upward or downward potential for Hall of NCS.

184:
Downward potential for VT with ZZ losing in final. NCS has upward potential with Renda win over ZZ.

197:
Lots of movement up and down with both VT (Haught) and NCS (Boykin) wrestlers. Volatile weight class.

HWT: Only change here would be an upset of Walz by Solomon in semifinals.

I think my summary suggests that 5 upward potentials for VT and 4 for NCS with 7 downward VT possibilities and 4 for NCS.

Just killed an one hour of probable worthless analysis but it beats working for that hour.
