It happened and shouldn't have, but I never thought any less of Beamer as a result. Too many people got wrapped up in Herbstreets out of context comments that he made throughout the game and went crazy. I lost a lot of respect for him after that game and the details of everything he was supposedly righteously indignant about. It sums all modern media up on a nut shell: make something of nothing but ignore the actual problems because those are complicated and won't sell. As you said, sad state of affairs.
