This is the second iteration, last year was a tourney format

There's been about 5 varieties, ranging from multi-weekend multi matchup duals to today.

Note Penn state wouldnt come play in this one due to the multi-weekend nature. VT didnt participate for the same reason (or at least Dresser indicated we were out of dates to set matches on with out schedule, Had PSU and OSU last year)

They also are having a problem with the NCAA recognizing 2 national championships. Therefore some even proposed this weekends winners would somehow carry extra tournament points into march.

This current "Bowl Style" matchup is a 2 year contract (we are in year 1). After that I imagine they will re-evaluate.
