That's a VERY fair question
Scot said that he would not have scheduled these particular games if he didn't think the team could handle them. Did he overestimate his newcomers? Possibly. Certainly it gives them a measuring stick against some of the best in the country - one that, at this moment in time, is not very positive.
On the other hand, though, they are certainly getting battle tested. If they can hang in there and not get down on themselves, these games will certainly make them stronger when we get to ACC play.
And we shouldn't have any RPI issues this year - the strength of schedule component should be off the charts. We just have to have a good year in the ACC.
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Perhaps we just fell down leaving the starting blocks.
Yes, I know I'm looking through orange and maroon glasses - but that's okay. Fans are allowed to do that.
GO HOKIES!!!!
