WRT Wentz, Kiper is ignoring any biases that come with the FCS label.

Regardless of what division level a player plays at, you still have to grade a player on the same criteria. A lot of people (not necessarily you) have the misconception that just because a player plays at the DI-FCS, DII, or DIII level that he can't be graded higher (or be a better pro prospect) than someone who played at the DI-FBS level. Another misconception by a lot of people is that just because someone is good at DI-FCS, DII, or DIII doesn't mean that player couldn't have player or been just as good at the DI-FBS level.

Wentz has the physical size (6'6 235lbs) that appeal to a lot of NFL teams. He is a proven winner during his time at North Dakota State (2011-2015). It helps that during his 5 years at North Dakota State that North Dakota State won 5 NCAA DI National Championships. Also, his stats may suggest that he has a "high football IQ" (as Chucky would say) or at least a good decision maker. In the 4 years he played at North Dakota State, he attempted 632 passes, had 45 TDs, and 14 INTs.

I am not saying that Kiper is right or wrong to have him graded that high. When it comes to projecting how a prospect will do in the NFL, it is a crap shoot at best because there are no guarantees. People thought Tim Couch and Ryan Leaf would be great in the NFL and look how both of their careers turned out. No claimed that Tom Brady was a proven winner when he was drafted and look how his career has turned out. In fact I think Tom Brady spent his senior year platooning with another QB (Navarro?).

Even though Cleveland is desperate for a franchise QB, (assuming I was the GM) I probably would look to trade back (maybe even a couple times) to pick up extra draft picks. The Browns have a lot of holes to fill and drafting a QB at #2 overall may not be the best way to fill them especially given the franchise's recent history of drafting a QB high in the 1st Round.
