Tonight's loss was tough..

Sidney Cook had another ACC-quality game. This game was very winnable but we just didn't make the plays at the end.

As for the remainder of the season, we're in 13th place with a 3-10 record. We have #17 Miami on the road and 6-8, 15-12 Wake in Winston-Salem. Tech is 3-6 on the road, the lone ACC road win at UVA. Miami is 12-2 at home and Wake is 9-5. Going by what we've seen the past 45 days, we likely won't win either of those games. I still have some hope in upsetting Wake and ending with a win over UVA on senior day.

Post season play has been slipping away with each game. Tech has a RPI of 110. That isn't good enough for a WNIT invite. I see us ending the regular season with a 16-13 record and going 4-12 in the ACC.

Last season UVA, NC State, and GA Tech made the WNIT. UVA finished 9th in the ACC at 7-9 and 17-12 over all. NC State finished 10th at 7-9 in the ACC and 16-13. GA Tech came in 11th at 7-9 and a record of 17-13.

Even if we win at Wake and beat UVA we will be 5-11 in the ACC with an over all record of 17-12. Our 5-11 ACC record will keep us out of the WNIT. Unless we win 2 ACC Tourney games, I don't see post season play. 19-13 looks better than 17-12 but that 4 or 5 win ACC record will deny us a WNIT invite. We simply needed to beat NC State, GA Tech, Pitt, and Duke at home and steal a win at UNC. All that was possible but we just didn't do it.
