I agree, and I think Foster wants to bring a championship to VT for Beamer.


I'm not saying I expect Tech to win a national championship any time soon, but I do think Foster is truly excited about the prospect of having a potent offense on his sideline within 2-3 years, and I think he believes VT football can be great again soon. I also think he likes Blacksburg, and feels loyal to VT on behalf of Frank Beamer, who he obviously cares a lot about. Beamer is still in Blacksburg, and is still employed by VT, so I think that plays into it.

In summary, I agree that barring a falling out with Fuente, it seems like Bud Foster is in it for the long haul at VT. If he didn't leave after Beamer's retirement and not getting the head coaching position, I don't expect him to leave any time soon now. But, I am basing that on nothing other than my own hunch, so it's just an opinion.
