It's an Apple conspiracy that with each firmware upgrade your phone gets

more and more bloated with battery eating applications that eventually render your phone practically useless. On my last iPhone I tried to desperately ignore updates until magically my phone just died without notice. I guess it was their way of telling me that you either update the firmware or they'll just kill your phone.
