What I remember about cable back in the day


First - I found your post interesting.

Back in the early 2000s, I remember people downplaying cable Internet because evidently the cable could only carry so much bandwidth (a very limited amount) So cable Internet might be fine at your house during the day, but in the evening when the neighbors came home and started using it too, it would slow to a crawl.

I have had cable Internet for years now and certainly have not experienced that so they clearly fixed that issue.

My father in law can only get DSL where he lives. My kids think he lives in the dark ages. Aaah, they have no idea how excited I was when I moved up to a 56k modem.
