I was hopeful after the first episode, but that has changed

It seemed like an interesting premise and I liked Ray Liotta in the role. However, it has quickly devolved with a lot of soap-opera-ish crapola backstories that I find annoying. I always liked the Law & Order approach where they do some character development but we weren't hit over the head with everyone having some huge baggage of an illicit affair, drug abuse, etc.

We're still a couple episodes behind and I'm going to watch one more (I think episode #4) but I'm close to giving up.
