My Dad has a good story about Coors east of the Mississippi...

My dad's old company makes flexible packaging, and back then had two plants, one near Dallas and one near Atlanta, and had a regular weekly delivery between the two. At one point, the folks in Atlanta had an arrangement with the folks in Dallas that when there was room for an extra pallet on the eastbound truck, they would wrap up a pallet of cases of Coors and ship it east. So in comes a new plant manager (who later ended up a VP, and IIRC was a Hokie), and he bangs some heads and stops the little arrangement, like yesterday.

Guess what happened to the next eastbound truck? It was pulled over by the police, looking for beer. Which wasn't there, thanks to the new plant manager. Talk about good timing.
