Well, I think the staff feels like they do have 3 pitchers

As the senior, Maggie Tyler will probably be the anchor. She has pitched approximately 190 innings each of the last two years and brings a lot of experience to the table. Over those two years, she has averaged over a strikeout an inning.

The Hokies also have Mikaela Aiken returning, She started 11 games in the circle last year and showed real promise. She was 7-3 with a 2.91 ERA and 54Ks in 69 innings.

Finally, we have Chelsea Whitcomb, a redshirt Freshman who is coming off of an ACL injury at the US Junior Team tryouts. She had a good season in fall ball and it sounds like there's a lot of potential with her.

We will find out early just how good we are. The first weekend includes games against #1 Florida and #2 Michigan and the second weekend has two more games against Michigan and 2 games against #13 Minnesota. Scot sounded like he felt we could compete against all of them, and if that's true, then it could be a really good year.

GO HOKIES!!!!!
