2 part answer

Dont know if you mean VT's 2013 class or the overall talent.

In terms of VT's class, this one is still a ways behind (though if you toss dunn into it due to the greyshirt, i think it tightens a bunch). And thats to be expected, as the 2013 replacement recruiting cycle is next year (Dance has moved up a year without redshirt, but epp gus haught and norstrem were/are still on track for the 5 year plan). Next years gonna be critical because we also lost Norstrem 2 years earlier than planned.

In terms of the over all class, 2013 strikes me as deep, with a lot of good names (seriously though, look at the lack of talent development by pitt, not good). The top 5 in 2016 are as elite, but time will tell if the top 50 stacks up favorably.

As for Cburg, writings been on the wall. Dont get me wrong, good wrestlers will always come out of Cburg and feed techs team. But without weber there to coach em up, i doubt we see 2-3 NCAA all americans from that HS at a time. I'm thinking more along the lines of maybe 1 starter in the roster every couple of years, after dance and epp have moved on. We know what studs they have based on state performances, and im sure we are recruiting. But we are also in a new era, where we care more about need than in the past. Before it was get the best talent possible, now its get the best talent possible for the holes in the lineup we have.

To conclude, 2017 is a huge class for us and we need some big names. Adams is a good first step as haughts replacement, but i would hope for 1-2 Top 50s as a bare minimum.
