Yep, everyone knows he was in a no-win situation here
He joined up with a lame duck AD and a program that ran off its coach a month after the tournament was over. The cupboard was completely bare as far as players went.
There actually were signs as well that JJ was making progress. We wouldn't be where we are now if we had kept JJ all this time, but he does have some progress that he could demonstrate.
His next HC job isn't going to be a major conference job though. He's going to have to cut his teeth in a lower conference like the CAA, Horizon, etc. But he's still quite young. He still has plenty of time to get his career back on track.
