Purnell got Clemson to the dance in each of his last three years. Yet, they never made it past the first round. But under Brownell, not only has Clemson only made one NCAA bid (his first year), they only have one NIT bid too. IMO, they will be in the NIT this year, but that's not what Clemson folks are looking for.
