That's like saying the guy who owes me money can tell me where to work.
ESPN owes Texas money, not the other way around. ESPN can't tell texas which conference to join.
the ACC allowed ESPN to dictate things, but that was PRIOR to ACC negotiations and renegotiations. Regrettably, the ACC bought into everything ESPN was selling too much.
Texas already has one of the best two or three deals in college athletics. Why would they want to change a thing? ESPN's not going bankrupt. Not even close.
The only thing that could change is if ESPN just pays them off. THEN, Texas will seriously consider options. And again, I seriously doubt sending their non revenue sports kids up and down the East coast, from Boston to Miami, is gonna be their best option.
