To develop those markets, the ACC needs to be in them.


I think that the ACC needs to spend more time developing those markets as well.

For Boston, the ACC is in the market with BC. What do you think that the ACC could do further to develop that market?

For New York, there is no major local college sports team in New York. So that one is sort of fool's gold. The ACC could add UConn and try to develop it with the combination of Syracuse, UConn, and Notre Dame. But they are really not New York City teams. The Big Ten is trying with a New Jersey team, but I'm not sure that will work either.

For Philadelphia, the ACC could add Temple and try to develop Philly as an ACC town. It would be hard to develop for football, but there would be a chance for basketball.

For Washington, the ACC needs to promote UVA and VT there more. The ACC needs to work to schedule more games with DC area schools. UVA played a basketball game at George Washington this year. We should schedule Georgetown. Syracuse will be playing Georgetown. DC is hard because of all of the professional sports. Maryland has a hard time getting mindshare, and they are local.
