I said that about Nebraska, but I'm not sure it's very critical for OU


OU is very close to Texas geographically. It gets kids because it's close to Texas as much as -- and probably more than -- because they play Texas schools.

And if they go the SEC (which is the likely destination IMO), they'll still have aTm as a Texas "partner" and will likely have some doors opened in the southeast that don't currently exist.

IMO, Boren has concluded that OU gets less from the Big 12 than the Big 12 gets from OU. And I don't believe he sees a way forward with the Big 12 that changes that equation favorably for OU.
