With a few notable exceptions, VT has never had herds of highly rated players. The FB Success at VT from Claiborne to Dooley to Beamer was based on coaching, development, and attention to detail. Future success will depend on the same.

As far as the Nike thing is concerned, the tail does not wag the dog. If you want a better shoe deal you have to earn it.
