Yes, it is a concern, but there isn't enough data to say it is not a
one-time thing. Now if it continues, the data will be un-deniable. Some other posters have made interesting points as to the effect of the spread on all defenses. One poster had a well thought-out post which suggested that we may have to re-calibrate our expectations. Maybe giving up 20-30 points a game may be the new normal. Now understand, I'm not suggesting that giving up 52 points to Tulsa is acceptable in any way, shape, or form.
