How many out of state students do we get from Mass versus Kentucky?


Mass kids come south and our OOS tuition is a light load for them...not so much with Kentucky. Yes that matters and it is very much taken into account. It's one of the reasons we are not in the SEC. It' also one of the reasons the SEC is so interested in us, Virginia kids will pay OOS tuition to SEC schools.

Playing football games in those areas is like having a free Marketing event that puts our name in those areas.

PS I am sure UVa would do that swap and the sports folks at VT get it, but I don't expect it to happen. Especially with more expansion on the horizon and the ratio of OOS students from Mass versus Kentucky.
