I like the idea of 3 permanent rivals, and the other 5 games rotating

every year or two years. That way every ACC team will play every other ACC team at least twice every four years, which beats the heck out of the current format where there are six opponents you will see only once every seven years.

This is how I envision the three permanent rivals being assigned:

VT - BC, UVA, GT
GT - Clem, VT, Miami
Miami - GT, FSU, BC
BC - Miami, VT, Cuse
Cuse - BC, Pitt, Duke
Pitt - NC State, Cuse, LVille
LVille - FSU, Pitt, UVA
UVA - VT, LVille, UNC
UNC - Duke, NC State, UVA
Duke - UNC, Wake, Cuse
NCSU - UNC, Pitt, Wake
Wake - Duke, NC State, Clem
Clem - Wake, GT, FSU
FSU - Miami, Clem, LVille
