Vanderbilt is an AAU member. Kentucky isn't...

"IF" the Big 10 expands, they'll likely go after Kansas and non-AAU member Oklahoma. AAU membership and geographical contiguousness are 2 criteria for the Big 10, but I believe that those requirements hold less significance each year. Nebraska lost their AAU membership, yet they're still in the Big 10. The Big 10 will make an exception for a brand name football program like Oklahoma or Texas. Georgia Tech is very easy to get to since Atlanta has the busiest airport in the world.
