Re: Re: Re: Hey Edmunds.../yes a bit harsh not needed

So yes my paragraph on Buzz was a bit harsh and over the top which was out of line. I like Buzz and think he will get the program pointed in the right direction.

However I added some edge to that paragraph to illustrate that building a program takes time. Though I think Buzz will get job done and also think they will have a good year next year with postseason in sight it will take him one or two full recruiting cylces to maintain a consistent winner in the ACC.

Just to note in 2012-2013 the VT women's program was 14-15. They were one win from being a postseason NIT team. They won games vs. Top 25 opponents Florida & Michigan State and beat Top 10 UNC at UNC for the first time in VT history. Though they did falter a bit and ultimately did not get the job done they were one win from being a postseason team.

They are clearly going to be a postseason team both this year and next which would be 2 appearences in 5 years (and one win from 3 in 5 years) and trending upward. That merits an appreciation and ultimately a longer tenure after overtaking the hardest BCS rebuilding jobs in the entire country.
