Well... during the bowl season at least...

Defense, as we used to know it, is not the same as it used to be. UL, Clemson and Miami defenses looked putrid in a few games this year. Not ACC related, but the mighty MSU defense allowed 31 points on them last night (the other 7 came from STs I think). And even Bama's defense lays an egg once or twice a year.

I would love to see if there is a current day defense in the NCAA or NFL that could allow less than 3 TDs or less than 20 points week-in and week-out. I remember Mack Brown's Tarheels in 97 achieved that feat (or something close to it). The 98 and 99 Hokie defenses were very close to that level as well (at least until we ran into the FSU buzzsaw in the 99 MNC
