This is a huge high stakes for ESPN Disney

Disney stake holders said problem is ESPN paid too much for rights and acc has signed contract - they know it and if they break it they will require huge payout -money they don't have- they think acc has no where to go-

if they have acc to walk they don't have to pay and they can reduce their outlays - stockholders extremely happy but they will have a huge gash in airtime especially in basketball and spring sports -key aspect for acc is to get nbc to bite on a equivalent contract with dedicated sports network and coverage and marketing

ESPN could drain the acc by doing nothing - and let the lawyers handle it - if acc refuses cash outlay put together a ragtag acc network with no marketing outreach program and let it fail- that results in deminished value or the acc properties

Both parties have huge risks
