ESPN started their own decline when they decided to devle into other areas

besides sports. People tune into to ESPN to watch sports and escape from all the other stuff that the other cable news channels talk about.

When ESPN decided to allow people with certain political ideologies to spout their views, that was the beginning of the end. That type of stuff was no where to be found on ESPN when it rose to prominence.
