And rightfully so. Football brings in the money. Those other sports don't. bigtime college football and basketball are semi pro affairs. Softball? Not so much. Softball can be meaningful to those players and their families, but they are not going to create mass interest.

Anyhow, a P5 school that's spreading the wealth between diving and football evenly is misguided. The only things bigtime about olympic sports like swimming and diving are those handful of athletes who are actually competing for spots in the Olympics. They should probably all go to Stanford and allow that to be their olympic training ground.
