Human nature is difficult to overcome.
When you choose your coach, you're much more willing to do what they want. When the coach is 'chosen for you', you're less willing to do what they want or more likely to become disgruntled. That's not any kind of hard and fast rule, but it would be much better for Pry to take his lumps next year with his own guys that chose him. Certainly have conversations with guys about staying, especially if they are open to it, but I'd say don't try to convince these guys too much. Tayvion is a good player, but it's not worth it if he is set on going somewhere else.
