I just gave myself a hip stinger. I'm working on installing some crown moulding in our kitchen, and have been up and down the small set of steps to our patio multiple times this morning to make cuts with my mitre saw. I finally finished cutting and was walking back outside to grab something before starting to install everything, and bam - the door mat on the top step slid out from under me in the blink of an eye and I went down hard on my upper right thigh right on the nose of the step. At first the pain was so sharp that I was afraid I had just destroyed my hip, but thankfully I think the jolt just stretched the joint a little bit. I'm sure the hip joint itself will be sore, but I think I may have gotten lucky and mainly just suffered a bad bruise.

Between this and my truck mishap yesterday, at this rate I may be dead by next weekend!
