Need some advice, how do you tell a 5 year old that their dog


has to be euthanized? our dog has been confirmed to have cancer that has metastasized to a few of his organs and the vet has confirmed some blood in his stomach. We now have to face the tough decision to end any suffering and put him down peacefully. We have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and need to have the tough conversations amongst the family about what will be occurring. Any parents have any advice and thoughtful ways to explain this to the kids (mostly the 5 year old as she will be the one that really gets what will be happening)? TIA
