Those saying Marshall regressed… we have no idea if the cupboard was bare or not. They play hard, really hard, and I’d be proud to call him a Hokie. We have a coach that was the best hire in football after 1 year.. how’s that working. Huff’s year one, just ok. There are countless examples of a no name becoming great, can’t miss guys that are awful, coordinators that turned out great, coordinators that turned out awful, position coaches etc. My position is he’s known as a great recruiter, he has experience around excellence, he’s charismatic, represents well, is not boring, would raise interest financially imo, and nationally as well as being a good “fit.” I do believe there would be growing pains but staying the course is the definition of insanity. I want that shake up, opposite of what we have. Open, refreshing, best of my knowledge no ncaa controversies, confident but approachable. I respect everyone’s opinion since we are all Hokies and love this place. X and Os are clearly a work in progress with him. I’m all in for the can’t miss guy (that doesn’t exist) what I don’t want is boring, whining, someone else’s failure, woah is me coach. I want A Leader of men, I like a few candidates but Huff would have my support. I think he can succeed here if given a chance.
