will at least have the “SEC/ND Alliance” fighting it out for the 2 at large/popularity bids if you limit it to 8.

PS Also the G5 won’t pass automatic bids for the P5, but they very well could pass the 6 highest ranked Conference Champions with an 8 team playoff. All of that limits the SEC hostile takeover of Tier 1 College Football.
