Probably wasn't a commitable offer as Alabama has 2 LB commits

He's the lowest ranked on the LB offers for Alabama of about 30-40. Many of them have gone to other schools.

I don't see a first-year coach moving on from his head coaching position unless he was going back to his alma mater where he expects to be for a very long time. It would probably be a negative on his record since schools are looking for longer term commitments from head coaches. If he aspires to go to a top-tier program, he probably has at least one more interim move to a higher program to make.
