And since it follows the canal, pretty damn level too. Yes, the canal has

locks, indicating changes in elevation, but when you get to a lock, you put the bike on your shoulder and climb up or down the stairs and then you're mostly level again.

I really should start riding again / more and do as you suggest. Map out a plan to go about 50 miles a day, but then make it more or less based on where I plan to spend the night.
