One report I saw seemed to indicate some of the crew (didn't name names)

planned to go do some target practice somewhere else on the set or a nearby shooting range at some point during the day. That may be one possible scenario to explain how live rounds ended up on the set. If the people were planning to use the guns from the set when they went shooting, then I could possibly see how the live rounds ended up being placed near the dummy rounds or blanks. If someone else, or the person that brought the live rounds onto the set, wasn't paying close attention or didn't know the difference between the rounds (if it was another person), then I could possibly see how the live rounds got mixed with the dummy rounds or blanks.
