The new car will be offered with a choice of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic and employ a new hybrid unit with an expected electric version to come at least a year later. While Honda has not elaborated on what that hybrid power plant might be, one source suggests that the car may get the same 1.5-liter turbo from the new Civic but with an e:HEV hybrid unit bolted on for extra power and better efficiency. Power would clear 220hp. That would generate power over 200 hp but we’ll have to wait for more details from Acura at a later date.

A racy 300-hp plus turbocharged Integra Type R version is also expected to join the lineup by 2024.

My guess is the Type R will sticker in the low 40s.
