a new coach with a dynamic personality and obviously skills to improve the play on the field will go a long way...also excite the donors and fans. Lets face it, this thing needs a reboot. A change here and there isn't enough. The (I have it so difficult, covid is harder on VT, and every game is a 4 hour stomach ache slogan is bs..... I have the talent and drive to win should be the mindset). The 'its so hard to win demeanor' has been directly transferred to the team. The ACC coastal is the easiest P5 division in FBS. My mind on CJF was not changed until the Covid season and I understand Whit not pulling the trigger as I think he is saavy enough to recognize one of the great draws of VT...we generally give someone time. We have not developed as much talent as we thought, the recruiting is not good, the promise of a dynamic offense is false, and talent evaluation is not great. VT is a good job, VT can be a good program, we are not a blue blood, but we can get good candidates here IMO.
